Leadership and Staff

DIRECTOR: LARRY BECKNER

Larry Beckner is the new Chief Operating Officer of Kijkandee Foundation, which oversees the Garden of Hope and the TawSaeng children's ministry project.  He has been warmly received by staff and volunteers as the new director of the Garden of Hope, replacing Tim Byers. Larry also remains involved in other projects including the Well counseling center, of which he is an "affiliated provider." Lary has been been in full time ministry for most of his adult life and knows the challenges that come with that calling. He grew up as a pastor's son, and spent some of his childhood in the West Indies where his parents served as missionaries. He has served in various areas of ministry in the local church including directing a Christian Camp for 12 years. In 1993 he joined Freedom in Christ Ministries after having been personally impacted by the message and ministry of Dr. Neil Anderson. In the past 16 years Larry has traveled throughout the US and Asia conducting training seminars and helping others to experience their personal freedom in Christ. He and his wife Joyce moved to Thailand in 2005 to be available to missionaries and their families by providing support and encouragement.  He has a passion for seeing ministries in Thailand that are effectively run by Thai nationals, and looks forward to doing his best to help the national staff members and international volunteers at The Garden of Hope (New Garden and TawSaeng) succeed.
